Celebrate Stonebridge Church

Greetings in the Name of Christ,

Great things are happening at Stonebridge UMC. Sunday was such a special day in the life of our church. Recognizing our graduating seniors was a joy, and our youth did a wonderful job leading us in worship. Their music and testimonies were a blessing to us all. And of course, taking time to honor our mothers on Mother’s Day made the morning even more meaningful.

This Sunday is one of my favorite Sundays of the year as we gather to hear our confirmands profess their faith in Christ. I hope you will make a special effort to join us in worship at 9:45 and help surround these young people with the love, encouragement, and warmth of the Stonebridge family.

I will be preaching on Philippians 3:12–14 in a sermon titled The Prize of Christ. While I wrote this message with our confirmands in mind, I believe it is a word for us all as we continue to press forward in our faith and grow in our relationship with Christ.

Next week, we begin our annual home gatherings, and I truly hope you will be part of them. This year’s theme is Celebrate Stonebridge Church. These gatherings are not fundraisers—they are opportunities to enjoy fellowship, celebrate what God is doing among us, get to know one another better, and dream together about the future of our church.

We still have a few places available for our first gathering this coming Tuesday, and I would love for you to join us. Please sign up as soon as you can so we can prepare well. These are exciting and hope-filled days.

You can RSVP by emailing me or by clicking on this link.

The schedule and locations are…

  • Tuesday, May 19, 6:30 pm (desserts) – Roger and Amy Dankel's home

  • Thursday, June 11, 6:30 pm (desserts) – Alex & Lacey Cesarz's home

  • Tuesday, June 23, 6:30 pm (desserts) - Mike & Erin Clark's home

  • Thursday, June 25, 6:30 pm (desserts) – Trevor and Connie Castilla's home

  • Sunday, June 28, 12:30 pm (lunch) – Dave and Becky Neeley's home

  • Sunday, July 12, 12:30 pm (lunch) - Jack and Kym Radke's home

The conversations and input from past home gatherings have helped shape the foundation for our ministry emphasis in 2025 and 2026. Stonebridge UMC has always been about people—gathering in faith, celebrating God’s goodness, sharing our hopes, and looking ahead with anticipation for what God has in store.

Thank you for loving the church and being part of what God is doing here. Invite someone to worship, and I hope you’ll join us at a home gathering.

See you Sunday!
