Joining the Stonebridge UMC Family

 

At Stonebridge United Methodist Church, all are welcome to worship our Savior Jesus Christ with us, whether member or visitor.  When you or your family are ready to that next step into church membership, here are three easy steps to help you on your way. 

 

1.  Attend a Membership Open House - All are invited to the Membership Open House held on the second Sunday of each month in the Eagle’s Wings library. We invite you drop by following worship services to pick up a Membership Packet and have your questions about church membership answered.   You will be able to find out about the expectations of membership and the opportunities available to you as part of our church family.  Upcoming dates for Membership Open Houses are January 13, February 10 and March 10.

2.  Commit to Church + 3 - All of our members are expected to commit to the guiding principle of Church + 3, which includes making worship a holy habit in your life plus committing to grow in God's word, serve God's people and expand the Kingdom of God through our witness in the world. 

 

3.  Schedule a convenient time to join -  At Stonebridge UMC, most new members join during one of our Sunday services, either during a Celebration or The Bridge service. We welcome new members on the second through fifth Sundays of each month. The first Sunday is reserved for Holy Communion. To schedule, please contact Kathy Egan at 972-529-5601, ext. 315. Please give at least 48 hours notice for transfer of membership and 10 days notice for a baptism.

 

Baptisms

 

The United Methodist Church honors ONE baptism, regardless of the type of denomination the baptism was performed.  If you would like to be baptised during any of our services, or a more private baptism in our chapel, please call Kathy Egan for more information or to schedule the baptism.
