Sunday Morning Small Groups

Do you know who the two biggest influences are in a child’s life?  The answer is…. the church and the family. Our goal here in Bridge Kids is to partner with families to make the biggest impact possible in a child’s faith journey. The church only has 40 Sunday’s in a year to minister to kids. Parents have 3,000.  Let us help you start to build this foundation, after all, who says church should only happen on Sunday? And who says you can’t have FUN at church every week? Not us!

We offer FUN and ENGAGING ways to learn about Jesus!

Children's Sunday School
  • We use the First Look Curriculum that is a web based curriculum designed for babies – five years of age. The Curriculum is designed to meet your preschoolers needs through age appropriate activities that build their spiritual foundation. It has simple songs, bible stories, crafts, and games.

Upon graduating from this program, we want your child to know three basic truths.
        1.  God made me
        2. God loves me
        3. Jesus wants to be my friend forever

  • We use the 252 Basics Curriculum that is a web based curriculum designed for Kindergarten- Fifth Graders. 252 is based on one of the three basic truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52.

Upon graduation from this program, we want you child to know three basic truths.
        1.  I need to make the wise choice.
        2. I can trust God no matter what.
        3. I should treat other the way I want to be treated.

  • 252 Basics – has 150 Key Bible Stories, 4 Faith Skills, and 30 practical applications of God’s Truth.

Please consider joining our team!  Teaching our kids is a privilege, and an opportunity for adults to grow as disciples as they learn from and with those who are younger than them.  Contact Stephanie Jordan or Jenn Brown to sign up.

Mission Kids

Mission Kids Logo

Mission Kids at Stonebridge United Methodist Church is ready for mission workers! Mission Kids kicks off this fall with a focus on providing opportunities for children to participate in mission projects that benefit the community.  In Ephesians 2:10, the Bible tells us that God planned that we should spend our lives helping others.  The goal of Mission Kids is to help young children recognize the importance of service.

Once a month, kids fellowship during a pizza lunch, and then have a quick introduction to a missionary from the Bible. After that, kids will work together to complete a service project that benefits organizations right here in McKinney. Optional field trips will be coordinated so that families can go directly into the community to serve.

The program is open to kindergarten through 5th graders.  Parents are welcome to either drop off their children to participate in the program, or stay to volunteer!  Younger children may accompany volunteer parents at the meetings.
