IMAGINE Listening Tour

Greetings in the Name of our Lord,

I pray your week has gone well as the end of school has come and the summer begins. It is the season of graduations, end of school parties, and the beginning of summer. 

Last Sunday was glorious as we received eight young confirmands into our congregation by profession of faith. I want to congratulate them on this journey of faith. May God richly bless them in their growth in faith and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

On Tuesday, we had our first gathering for our IMAGINE Listening Tour. Thanks to Roger and Amy Dankel for hosting and Doug and Andrea Darby for co-hosting. It was amazing. We had a full group for this first meeting. We celebrated the great things happening in our church ministries, discussed future priorities, and brainstormed ways to engage every member in ministry. The energy and enthusiasm were outstanding. 

Go to Stonebridge UMC: IMAGINE Listening Tour to sign up. The tour continues in June on the 5th, 7th, 17th, 19th, 24th and 26th. It is a great way to meet new people and help us imagine the future of Stonebridge UMC.

Finally, join me this Memorial Day weekend on Sunday morning to worship God and give thanks to our savior Jesus Christ for His sacrifice, forgiveness, and victory over death. We are the victors through Christ who made us to be the “children of God.” 

We were made to be the makers of peace in our families, communities, schools, nation, and world. Through our relationships, we can build a better community based on God’s law of love. As we remember our fallen heroes this Memorial Day week, let us work in the name of Jesus to be peacemakers.
