We Are Not Alone

Greetings in the Name of the Resurrected Jesus,

Easter Sunday will be filled with praise, worship and special music. It will be a glorious celebration of the Easter resurrection of Jesus. Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring your neighbors. You will be glad you did. Don’t miss this great day… 

Jesus said, "With God, all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26)

On this holiest of weeks, we move from the agony of the suffering Christ to the exultation of the risen Lord. How can this be? How can God so change the world in three days? The answer – “With God, all things are possible.”

As we face the weeks following Easter, it is important to remember we are not alone in our efforts in this world. God’s powerful presence should be the driving force behind all that we do. 

As the people of God called the Church, we must never forget that we are agents of God’s possibilities in this world. It's not enough to play it safe, reaching only for goals within our grasp. We should attempt things so great for the glory of God that unless he intervenes, we will certainly fail.

Jesus said, "With God, all things are possible." We need to remember what this promise entails. First, doing God’s work is not easy. Achieving the impossible typically takes great effort. Second, doing God’s work does not always happen right away. Reaching worthwhile goals often requires a long-term investment of time. Third, doing God’s work can sometimes be painful. Personal sacrifice is part of the process.

It may not be easy, instantaneous, or painless, but for those willing to step out in faith, for those bold enough to trust God to do the impossible, the reward is greater than the investment. As Paul said...

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21)
