Never Alone
/Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord!
This Sunday, we continue our sermon series, Believe It or Not! Together, we will reflect on this beautiful confession of faith: I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty and will come to judge the living and the dead.
We’ll listen to the words of John the Baptist in John 1:29–34 and to the apostle Paul’s encouraging affirmation in Romans 5:6–11.
Love can be a complicated thing. Every generation has tried to understand it, experience it, and put it into words. We all long to know that we are truly loved—in Jesus, God showed the depth of God’s love for us in the most extraordinary way.
In Romans 5:8, Paul tells us how God demonstrated His love: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Before we could earn it or deserve it, God reached out to us. God sent His only Son to overcome the separation caused by sin. God’s love is not conditional; it is a gift freely offered to each of us.
In Jesus, we find the strength, comfort, and hope we need for whatever life may bring.
Through His obedience, Jesus revealed grace in an amazing way. He poured out His life so that our sins could be forgiven and our relationship with God restored. Through faith, each of us is invited into a relationship with Jesus—one filled with peace, lasting hope, and the promise of eternal life.
A relationship with Jesus means we never have to face life alone. Whatever comes our way, we can hold on to hope and rest in God’s grace, faithfulness, and loving desire to draw us close to Him.
Take a quiet moment to reflect:
Have you invited Jesus into your life? If so, pause and thank God for His grace. If you are still exploring what faith means, please know that your questions are welcome—we would be honored to walk alongside you.
Who might need to experience God’s grace through you today?
Where do you most need the hope and reassurance of God’s presence right now?
This Sunday’s message is a heartfelt reminder of how deeply God loves us. No matter where you are on your journey of faith, there is a place for you here. My prayer is that our time together will renew your hope, strengthen your trust in Jesus, and help you experience God’s love in a fresh and meaningful way.
We will also have the joy of presenting Bibles to our third graders during the 11:00 a.m. service. It is one of my favorite Sundays of the year! I hope you’ll join us as we surround these children with encouragement and celebrate this meaningful step in their growing faith.
See you Sunday!
