God is Doing Great Work Through Stonebridge UMC

Greetings in the Name of Jesus,

Things are buzzing around Stonebridge UMC. Every day there is something special happening. Each Sunday, I meet new people coming to worship. I am constantly hearing of those who are stepping up to serve in our ministries. Each week I hear another “God story” about how God is making a difference through the ministries of Stonebridge.

In October, we had five home meetings for our Imagine Our Next 30 capital campaign. At each of these home meetings there were multiple stories of how Stonebridge impacted lives. At each home meeting we ate good food, we laughed, and we cried. It was an amazing, touching time for all those who could attend.

During worship on Sunday, November 9th, Roger and Amy Dankel, the campaign team chairs, will announce the total commitment amount from those who have made advanced commitments. You will not want to miss this Sunday. It is going to be exciting.

These early commitments have been made as an offering of hope to encourage the rest of our congregation to generosity above and beyond our regular giving to our ministries. This three-year campaign will enable us to refurbish Celebration Hall with new technology and a fresh look. Most exciting of all, is that we have the potential to make Stonebridge UMC debt free. Praise God!

As we move toward commitment Sunday on November 16th, join me in the prayer, “God, what do you want to do through me?”

God is doing great work through Stonebridge UMC. Come be a part of the worship and ministry at 1800 South Stonebridge Drive, as we strive to live and love like Jesus. Continue to pray. Continue to step up. Continue to see the future with anticipation. Our work is not done. Our work is not our own, it is God’s work. Stonebridge is a family church where everyone is known and loved.

In Galatians 6:2, Paul shares these words, “Bear one another’s burdens, and in this fulfill the law of Christ.” Keep it up Church! Keep it up! God is working among us, making all things new!

See you Sunday! Invite someone to come to the celebration of what God is doing through Jesus Christ at Stonebridge UMC.
