Great Hospitality
/Greetings in the Name of Jesus,
This week I received a note from the grandparents of a child we baptized a few weeks ago. It reminded me again of the great job our hospitality team and ushers are doing to welcome our guests who are coming to worship.
“My husband and I recently visited your church to celebrate the baptism of our grandson. The warm and friendly atmosphere immediately made us feel welcomed. Thank you for being so kind and supportive of our daughter and her family.”
Each Sunday that we have a new guest walk through our doors for worship, we have the opportunity to share the love of Jesus through our hospitality. Hospitality is the greatest draw to bringing individuals and families into the church. Keep up the great work. Thank you.
This Sunday, I will be preaching on What Does the Bible Say About Hell? Some people try to avoid the idea of hell. The problem with this is that when you start reading the gospels, you find that Jesus speaks about hell more than anyone else.
We cannot dismiss these teachings. They are essential to understanding the nature of God, the nature and future of humanity, and the salvation of Jesus. So, let’s look at what the Bible really says about hell. You might be surprised.
I will primarily focus on 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11, where Paul outlines the plan of salvation through Jesus Christ.
We are going to have a great Sunday. I look forward to seeing you.
Invite someone to worship. They will be glad you did.
