National Day of Prayer

Please use this as a guide as we join together to pray for our world, our nation, our community, and our church.
As you begin, spend a few moments clearing your mind and soul of the troubles of the day. Sit quietly, take some deep breaths, and close your eyes. Run through the day’s activities and stresses, and as you name each one, give it up, by name, to God. Focus your mind intentionally on Jesus’ ministry.
See Jesus in your mind’s eye:
Feeding the multitude-
Healing the leper-
Teaching the crowds-
Calling Lazarus from the grave-
Dying on the cross-
Rising from the tomb-
Ascending into Heaven-
Calling the little children-
Conversing with the woman at the well-
Breathe a prayer from your heart that you may stay focused for the next few moments.

Suggestions for Prayer:
Our World -
Pray for peace. There are 56 active conflicts, including major wars and small-scale incidents.
Pray for the global leaders. Give them wisdom as they deal with the complexities of this age.
Our Nation -
Pray for an end to the division and violence in our land. Give us the wisdom to put aside our differences and work together for the common good of all.
Pray for our leaders. Bring them together with truth and a spirit of cooperation that will bring unity to our nation.
Our Community –
Pray that all may know Christ. May God use our church to bring the Name of Jesus to everyone within our reach.
Pray for cooperation. May the Spirit of God’s love guide our schools, churches, local governments, civic organizations, and businesses.
Our Church -
Pray for the leadership of Stonebridge Church. May God bless and protect our Pastors and church staff, the volunteer servants, and those yet to join our ministry work.
