What You Can Do
First and foremost, pray for victims, evacuees, first-responders, and all others affected by this terrible tragedy. The loss of life and property has been tremendous, and the loss of hope can make things worse. Fortunately, we have witnessed the power of people pulling together and looking out for one another.
If you're looking for another way to help, we encourage you to financially support UMCOR. The United Methodist Committee on Relief were making preparations before Hurricane Harvey came ashore and are continuing to work with disaster coordinators and early response teams to provide relief to the many victims of hurricane/tropical storm Harvey. Also, 100% of your designated donation will go to relief efforts. Donate here.

Many have asked if Stonebridge UMC will be an evacuee shelter for victims of Hurricane Harvey, as we have for past weather events and local catastrophes. We remain in contact with the American Red Cross, who manages shelter efforts. At this time, their sheltering needs are sufficient throughout the 35 corridor up to Dallas. However, we are preparing and ready to put the pieces in place if the need arises. We are a certified shelter facility and will be ready when called.
Dallas has set up multiple small shelters and a mega-shelter at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Volunteer and donation needs for this location and partner agencies can be found at dallashelpforharvey.net.
