The Bridge... A New Experience in Worship
10:30 a.m. in the Robertson Activity Center
The Bridge is a unique worship experience unlike any other in our community in that it allows people to come as they are, let the Holy Spirit fill their hearts, and worship Jesus Christ in a relaxed, rejuvenating manner. The contemporary music provided by a variety of worship leaders and The Bridge Band add a musical flare you won't experience with any other worship service.
All are welcome to come and worship as you are, however the typical dress for The Bridge service is casual.
Children's Sunday School is also offered at the 10:30 a.m. hour and childcare is available in the nursery for little ones. Visit the Bridge Kids Children's Ministry page for more information on Children's Sunday School and/or Nursery.
A special children's area is also set up in the back of the Robertson Activity Center.
Next Sermon Series...
"Get Well Soon"
A sermon series on health and wellness as prescribed by Methodism's founder, John Wesley, and the great physician, Jesus Christ.
October 23- Physical Health: the Bible has much to say about the way we take care of our bodies; we'll look at some of Wesley's medical advice- written in the late 1700s, as well as some physical health aspects of Scripture.
October 30- Spiritual Health: we are Spiritual beings, created in the image of God, and there are ways to grow in this area; we'll look at how Wesley "Methodically" worked on his spiritual growth and how Scripture encourages us to do the same. 1 Timothy 4:6-7
November 6- Financial Health: God always had a plan for the best way for people manage their resources; we'll talk about how Wesley dealt with money (even more radically than outlined in the Bible,) as well as passages from the Bible that help us understand our relationship to money. 2 Corinthians 9:6-15
November 13- Emotional Health: Our brain is powerful and it can influence how we feel internally and externally; we'll explore Wesley's sometimes manic depressive behavior as a reminder for all of us to pay attention to our emotions as a part of our whole selves. Psalm 13
November 20 - Relational Health: Jesus said that we find life in our connection with him and with each other. The holidays are a great time to examine our relationships and look for healthy ways that we can interact with one another.
