Outreach and Support Groups

Stonebridge United Methodist Church offers various support groups for our church family and the community. Please contact Toni Grace in the church office more information on the following support groups:

Career Networking Group
A career networking group has been formed to provide support and resources for those looking for new employment or to enhance their current job situations. The group meets every Monday evening at 7 p.m. in MC253. Contact Suzy Cass for more information.

Families of Troops
Familes of Troops offers support and resources to military families and loved ones of deployed service members prior, during and post deployment. The group meets the second and fourth Sunday of each month from 5:30 - 7 p.m. in Room 121/122. Contact Alyson Pertuis or visit http://hub.cinchouse.com/ntxdeployedmilitary.

GriefShare Spring/Summer Session
Although there is no cure for grief, there is support for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one.  The next 13-week session of GriefShare starts on May 7 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in room RAC262. Please fee free to join the group at any time during the 13 weeks. For more information, contact Cindy Halderman
 
DivorceCare Seminar and Support Group
DivorceCare Seminar and Support Group, 13 weeks beginning Wednesday, June 10 from 6:30-8:00pm in Rm 136. Participants can join anytime during the 13 week session. There is also a children's class, DC4K (DivorceCare for Kids) for ages 5-12. Childcare for children under 5 (contact Lisa). The cost is $12 per participant with a $30 family max. Cancer Support Ministry
The Cancer Support Ministry is a "Dialogue" Cancer Support Group open to men and women with all types of cancers, their family members, their caregivers and/or friends. Also, information packets are available with community resources and support groups. If you, a family member or friend has been diagnosed with cancer and would like to receive a packet, or if you have questions, contact Becky Neeley, Care Coordinator, at 972-529-5660.
