Stonebridge United Methodist Church is well known across the community for it's amazing music ministry. From the beautiful sounds of the Celebration Handbells, to the heavenly voices of the Celebration Choir, to the bongo drums in The Bridge, to the tender voices of the children's choirs, the music ministry draws our hearts closer to God through the powerful music it provides
The Celebration Choir is primarily responsible for providing special music for Celebration Service, memorial services, and special occasions. All are welcome to join this amazing group of talented singers, regardless of experience level. Practices are held Wednesday nights at 7 p.m., and are open to all adults college-age and older. Contact Marla Basta for more information.
This group of talented musicians perform for selected Celebration services and for special Easter and Christmas presentations. The Celebration Handbells meet every Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. Adults interested in this group should have previous experience in instrumental ensemble, piano, or choir. It is very important that these members be able to count basic eighth-note rhythms. Dedicated attendance is essential to this popular ensemble's success.
The Celebration Band provides the instrumental accompaniment for Celebration services and many other special functions throughout the year. The incredibly talented group of musicians are professional instrumentalists with extensive experience performing in a wide variety of musical styles. Band members must be able to sight-read standard notation, chord notation, and perform with very little rehearsal. Anyone wanting to serve the church through the Celebration Band is invited to contact Marla Basta.
The Bridge Band reportoire is made up of modern contemporary praise music and modified hymns. The praise vocalists are accompanied by electric guitars, drums, keyboards and more. Musical guests frequently appear in The Bridge service.
