At this United Methodist Conference Camp center, students from throughout the district spend a week making friends and growing in faith. Our students have historically made and maintained long distance Christian friends from all over the North Texas area through Bridgeport Camp. JH2 is reserved for Mid High Students who have completed 6th-8th Grade. SH1 is reserved for Sr High Students who have completed 9th-12th Grade. This is a good entry level program for students.
Vacation Bible Camp
Every summer, students have an opportunity to help teach the children in our community about Jesus. Typically, over 600 children are involved in this week long bible camp. Opportunities to serve vary from class helper, recreation, leading music, drama, snacks to crafts. After Vacation Bible Camp, students will have an opportunity to fellowship through pool parties, hang out time at the Church, BBQ, etc.
Choir Camp & Tour
The Upper Alley Singers, an 8th-12th grade choir, rehearses from January through July on Sundays from 12:00-1:00 p.m. in the Celebration Hall culminating with a four day camp and a five day tour of the musical Godspell, Jr. the last weekend of July.
Retreats
Sky Ranch
Located in Van, Texas, Sky Ranch is known for its incredible camping facilities, staff and food. Students 7th-12th grade are invited to spend a weekend growing in faith and fellowship. The Sky Ranch retreat is completely organized and run by students in our program. This is a great entry level program for students to make great friendships and grow in faith.
Mission Waco Poverty Simulation
Come understand the issues of poverty as you get a small glimpse of being poor for a weekend. Mission Waco is limited to Sr. High students as it is not for the light hearted. This retreat can be life changing and limited to 5 students a trip.
Bridgeport Mid-Winter
This retreat is open to students grades 7th-12th. We will join students from throughout the Metroplex for a weekend of making friends and growing in faith. This is a good entry level program and is unique in that it is completely run by students in the C.C.Y.M. (Church Council of Youth Ministries). Registration is now open at the North Texas United Methodist Conference site.
Lake House
We close out the summer by spending a day on the lake. Members of our Church will bring out their boats for our students to enjoy a day of water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, and boating. This is a great entry level program for students who want to fellowship and meet friends.
