The Stonebridge UMC Emergency Shelter held in the Robertson Activity Center becomes a home away from home for families effected by natural diasters - such as hurricanes or flooding - and can not return to their homes for a period of time. With no where else to go, shelter guests come into our church family where they are loved and welcomed until they are able to return to their homes. Volunteers working inside the shelter must be Red Cross trained. Volunteers of all trades and experience levels are needed to attend to the various needs of shelter guests.

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in ......whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for me ." Matthew 25:35-40
