Beginnings is a 10-week overview on the basics of Christian faith. It is especially helpful to the curious, hesitant, or skeptical seekers, new believers, newly baptized adults, new members and even longtime church members who want to take a fresh look at the Christian faith in a warm, relaxed setting. The class meets weekly to share a meal, a 20 minute DVD presentation to introduce the topic, and then honest, light-hearted, and meaningful discussion around some of life's deepest questions: So, Is This All There Is?, Who is Jesus Christ and why should I care?, and Why am I not where I want to be? Living Out Loud This four week class will give you the tools you need to share the love of God in your daily life. Do you wonder where and how God is sending you? How can you extend His invitation to those you meet? Where will you find support? How and where will you start? Learn these things and more through Living Out Loud. Covenant Discipleship Groups Covenant Discipleship is a small-group ministry in the Wesleyan tradition. Groups typically meet weekly for one hour and the agenda is a covenant written by the group based on the General Rule of Discipleship: To witness to Jesus Christ in the world and to follow His teachings through acts of compassion, justice, worship and devotion under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Through a process of mutual accountability and support for practicing the basics of Christian faith, members "watch over one another in love". Covenant Discipleship groups help to form people as dependable and mature disciples of Jesus Christ and leaders in discipleship. We currently have a men's group, a women's group, and a couple's group. What Makes Us Methodist? Pastor Dina Steiner leads this insightful class giving denominational information on Methodism. Artist's Way The Artist's Way class teaches how to use the amazingly creative talents God gave us to glorify Him. The 13-week study explores art through drawing, poetry, painting and other mediums. Invitation to the Old Testament In two weekly video segments, gain insight from biblical scholars, then take a visual tour of archeological sites, ancient artifacts, and other physical remains, related to and illuminating scripture and events. Participants gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Old Testament as an integral part of the Christian Bible and a renewed discovery of our identity in God and God's vision of all things. Preschool Bible Study this group is for parents of Sunshine Kids Preschool or parents of preschoolers. The six-week study, Christianity and World Religions: Wrestling with Questions People Ask deals openly and honestly with questions people ask about other religions.
